It is well known for its spectacular fall color and the dark purple almost black colored berries it produces in the late summer and fall. The berries are favorites of birds during the cold winter months. In the spring Aronia Autumn Magic is covered in fragrant white flowers. The flowers are followed by clusters of large, edible dark-blue to black berries that stay on the plant through winter. It’s a hardy shrub that’s easy to grow. It does well in full sun to part shade and is tolerant of most soil types. Aronia Autumn Magic is self-pollinating, so you only need one plant for fruit production.
